Mission & Purpose

The Women and Gender Equity Center's听LGBTQIA+ Initiatives strives to provide students, faculty, staff, and members of the Hampton Roads area a community where they can be free and confident in expressing their identities.听The WGEC听strives to reduce homophobia, transphobia, and heterosexism in the 桃花社区视频 Dominion University community through educational and interactive programming, mentorship, and LGBTQIA+听advocacy.

As(t*)erisk, 桃花社区视频's Trans* Student Advisory Board, is committed to cultivating a safe and affirming campus environment for community members of all gender identities. The mission of As(t*)erisk is to strengthen and amplify the diverse voices of the 桃花社区视频 trans* student community in their pursuit of equity through advocacy, education and student engagement.

As(t*)erisk meets for five general board meetings each semester, once per month.

Students who meet one of the following requirements may apply to serve on As(t*)erisk:

Undergraduate student who identifies as part of the trans* community.

Undergraduate student who identifies as gender non-conforming.

Undergraduate student who identifies as non-binary.

Undergraduate student who identifies as gender queer.

Graduate student who identifies as part of the trans* community.
