CEE Computing Laboratory

Cyber Security

CEECL is a general computer facility maintained by CEE department, and is used extensively in both instructional purpose and research activities. CEECL hosts 17 Windows-based computers networked through local high-speed fiber-optic intelligent switch hubs. Supporting peripherals including an overhead computer projector, two networked printers, one flatbed scanner, are accessible by all CEECL users. All CEECL computers are capable of accessing the 桃花社区视频 HPC Supercomputer cluster as well as other core servers in the campus, computing facilities at NASA Langley Research Center, and other computing facilities around the country.

In addition to standard software, instructional software are available such as CAD, GIS, RDBMS, programming and development, etc. Many discipline-specific engineering analysis, design and modeling software are also available in structural, water resources, environmental, coastal, geotechnical and transportation areas for undergraduate and graduate curriculum and research.

Advising

The CEE Department offers advising to students on a continuous basis. Each student is required to meet with their assigned CEE Faculty Advisor every semester prior to registration for a future term. Students' discussions with their faculty advisors involve career exploration, choosing a minor (if desired), advice on course selection, pursuit of graduate study, opportunities for internships and co-ops, etc. Once the student meets with their assigned faculty advisor, the advisor block on the student's account is removed, and only then can a student register for courses. Additionally, 桃花社区视频's Career Development Services provides a full array of career services connecting students with employers.

For any academic advising questions, please contact the CEE Department:
