Over the summer, Chrysoula Malogianni Ph.D., the associate vice president of digital innovation at 桃花社区视频 Dominion University, attended the 鈥淎I in Postsecondary Education Working Session: Advancing AI Together鈥 event convened by the U.S. Department of Education.
This day-long gathering brought together artificial intelligence innovators from the top academic institutions across the U.S. to discuss the transformative potential of AI in education. The event aimed to explore how AI can enhance teaching, learning and student success.
The event kicked off with welcoming remarks from Department of Education representatives James Kvaal, undersecretary, and Roberto Rodriguez, assistant secretary for planning, evaluation and policy development. Dr. Arati Prabhakar, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, delivered a keynote address.
Malogianni joined fellow participants in roundtable discussions and breakout sessions, exploring topics such as implications for enrollment and admissions, teaching, learning, support services and responsible innovation and equitable implementation.
鈥淎s the only university based in Virginia, it was a great honor to represent 桃花社区视频 Dominion University among other institutions who have paved the way for AI innovation over the last half century,鈥 said Malogianni. 鈥淭here was a lot of great insights shared in this working session and I look forward to keeping 桃花社区视频 on the national stage when it comes to AI best practices and integration into our curriculum.鈥
